FAQs

  • The Well is part of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

The Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC)—a rapidly growing multi-ethnic denomination in the United States and Canada with ministries on five continents of the world. Founded in 1885 by Swedish immigrants, the ECC values the Bible as the Word of God, the gift of God's grace and ever-deepening spiritual life that comes through faith in Jesus Christ, the importance of extending God's love and compassion to a hurting world, the strength that comes from unity within diversity, a conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit, and the reality of freedom in Christ.

What makes the Covenant unique from other denominations is the fact that while it strongly affirms the teaching of the Word of God, it allows believers the personal freedom to have varying interpretations on theological issues that are not clearly presented in Scripture.

We’d love to share more with you in person. In the mean time feel free to check out covchurch.org

  • Unlike many churches you’re not going to find a list of doctrines here, nor a list of things that divide the Church, nor any statements about where we have put a ‘stake in the sand’. Instead you’ll find a list of affirmations. These are things our denomination holds to as we all focus on that which unifies us: Jesus’ life, death, and most importantly his resurrection and the LIFE we can have because of Jesus’ gift of salvation.

    Here are our six affirmations:

-The Centrality of the Word of God

    -The Necessity of New Birth

-A commitment to the Whole Mission of the Church

-The Church as a Fellowship of Believers

-A Conscious Dependence on the Holy Spirit

-The Reality of Freedom in Christ

  • The Well is brand new iteration of something old. Faith Covenant Church was founded in 1975 by a passionate group of Jesus followers. Faith had many years of fruitful ministry.

Pulse Church was formed in 2009 and rented space at Faith for their worship services.

After half a year of sharing space, many conversations, and much prayer, the two churches voted to merge to become “Agape.” Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020, was the first service together. Then the pandemic happened.

By 2022 the church faced difficult decisions and decided enter a ‘replant’ process with our regional conference. At the same time, Pastor Amber and Jim Eaton were feeling called to Colorado Springs and the Lord led them to us, to lead us through the process of replanting the church.

The Well is the outcome of that process. A whole new church with a new identity. We are all very excited to see how God moves in and through us as we follow his call to love and serve our neighbors and neighborhood.

  • With:

Amid life’s ups and downs, you are not alone. At The Well, you will find a community of people who genuinely care about each other and who care about you, even though you may not have joined us in person yet.

    Together:

At The Well, we support, encourage, and sharpen each other as we journey through life and continually learn to follow Jesus and live as his disciples.

    Family:

At The Well, you will find a strong sense of family. We value intergenerational connections where we all enjoy community together.

    Open:

Everyone has a story. We don’t pretend to be perfect or to have all the answers. We’re broken just like everyone else. So whatever your story, know that we’re excited to hear it, to not judge you for it, to share our own stories, and journey together towards Jesus.

  • -A gracious and warm welcome!

-Worship led by our band. We have a dedicated crew of folks who love to use their talents to lead others into the presence of Jesus. It’s not perfect, but it is deeply genuine.

-Fellowship: This is unique to our church. In the middle of our service we take 5-10 minutes to refill our coffee, grab a snack, and greet each other in the Lord. Yeah we know it’s different. Though this is part of our ‘family’ culture.

-Message: Our pastors guide us into the Word. The sermon lasts about 20 minutes.

-Communion is generally celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. All who have a relationship with Jesus are welcome to participate. No, we don’t “check your membership” card when you come in. We leave that to Costco ;)

    2. Head to the sanctuary all together for worship.

    3. When kids are dismissed, your kiddo’s can head to the classes. You are welcome to help them find their way if they are shy or nervous.

    4. After the service, head back to the kids area to pick up your kiddo’s.
